How to sell my vacation home

I’ve been fortunate enough in life to have earned enough money to be able to enjoy a bit of luxury in old age. At the age of fifty I retired, and three years later I bought a beautiful villa timeshare in Europe.

Now I love holidays as much as the next man – sun, sea, senoritas! What’s not to like?! But I’m getting to the age now where a trip abroad is filled with more stress than enjoyment. I have to organise the rest of the family, organise myself, book the cats into a cattery, the dogs into kennels, I have to have a friend watch the house, get someone in to do the garden, I have to pack, I have to buy new things every year for the holiday, I have to get insurance, I have to get the car serviced before I drive to the airport – the list of things to do goes on and on, it’s exhausting thinking about it!

Well, last year I came to a decision. It was time to sell the timeshare. It broke my heart to tell myself this, but it just didn’t make sense anymore. We weren’t using it enough to justify owning the place. The only problem would be shifting it, or so I thought. I found a great company called El Cid Vacationswho would take all of the stress out of the sale. They would show people around, look after the whole shebang. Al I had to do was sit back and wait for the money to fall into my account, and that happened in no time! What’s more, I actually made a decent profit on the place! We got a much better deal selling the place and it turns out it’s enough for me to indulge another of my whims – a nice shiny new convertible for those glorious summer days!
